- ** Sonatina for flute and piano
(easy-medium) (Published by Manduca Music, Portland, Maine, 1997)
(Extract from Publisher's catalogue: "The first movement, Grave, is
in Eb minor, and has a rich, chordal background in the piano while the
flute plays a simple melody. The second movement, Allegretto scherzando,
has mixed meter 11/8, 13/8, 15/8, 8/8 giving the work a jaunty feel. The
tonal centre is Eb major. The interplay between the piano and flute make
this work an excellent choice for college student recitals")
- ** Jazz Sonata for clarinet and piano (medium-difficult)
(Published by Manduca Music, Portland, Maine, 1997) (Extract from Publisher's
catalogue: "The first movement of this work is in jazz/pop style with
many time signature changes and shifted accents. The piano's rhythms weave
around the clarinet's melody, making an interesting rhythmical structure.
The second movement is very lyrical. The third movement is marked funky,
and presents a real rhythmic challenge to both players. All three movements
use extended tonalities. A fun piece!)
